Film screening special about Dr Mukwege, this years Nobels Peace Prize winner.
A film about the man who is internationally known as the man who helped, and still helps, thousands of women who have been raped during the 20 years of conflicts in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. One of the poorest countries on earth. Despite death threats, he continues his endless struggle to put an end to these abuses and to change the impunity given to the perpetrators. By the end of 2012, Mukwege again was the target of a new assassination attempt, which he miraculously survived. With a constant death threat, he now lives in his hospital in Bukavu under UN protection. But he is no longer alone in his struggle. The women he has restored stands beside him, as true activists for peace, hungry for justice.
With english subtitles.
